My therapy clinical experience includes working at the prestigious Psychiatric Unit of the Maudsley Hospital and being involved in the Schizophrenic Twin Studies project as an assistant research psychologist. I then worked closely with children under the ages on 10 years at an autistic unit in a special needs school and then took up my role as a volunteer counsellor with various mental health charities.
Going through my own personal therapy as part of my counsellor/therapist training has enabled me to gain inner understanding and knowledge of what the psychotherapy journey involves. I understand that taking the first step in therapy is daunting but let me assure you, if you are reading this then you have already begin thinking about making a change in your life.
A healer is someone who holds space for you while you awaken your inner healer, so that you may heal yourself.
As a therapist I do my best to offer a safe space to be listened, heard and make sense of what you are going through and find your way.
You don't have to suffer from mental health symptoms to be looking for therapy. At times you feel lost, you behave or react to things that you can't find reason or explanation for. Or you question things and need a place to talk and explore what's happening in your life. Counselling and Therapy can help you to find relief, unpick, untangle the knots to find a way through.
I am an accredited member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and hold myself to professional codes of ethics and guidance set by them. Thereby assuring the utmost confidentiality to all my clients. I have a full and up to date DBS check.
